Milosevic condemns massive violation of his rights

Former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic said on Thursday his detention in prison in The Hague by the UN war crimes tribunal was a 'massive violation' of his rights.

He told the UN Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia that he had been held in "total isolation" since his transfer to the jail two months ago.

Milosevic was making his second appearance before the court on war crimes charges since his transfer from Belgrade on June 28.

He maintains the court has no legal status under international law.
