Ding Guangen, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Party (CPC), has urged all publicity and ideological departments to make a priority of publicizing CPC general secretary Jiang Zemin's theory of the "three represent's".

Speaking at a conference of heads of regional and provincial the CPC publicity departments and officials from major media organizations, Ding affirmed progress in the publicity department' s work during the Spring Festival and the annual sessions of the National People's Congress and the National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

"Three Represent's" theory refers to that the CPC represents the requirement to develop advanced productive forces, an orientation towards advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people in China.

Ding, also head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, urged all publicity units to intensify their publicity of the "three represent's" theory in order for the country to study and implement the theory.

Such a publicity campaign would help unify people's minds, stir their spirits, promote reform and stability, and create a good atmosphere for the coming 16th CPC national congress, he said. (Xinhua)
