FM spokesman Liu makes his debut

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Liu Jianchao made his debut at the regular press briefing on Tuesday in Beijing.

Liu Jianchao, deputy director-general of the Information Department of Foreign Ministry, studied international relations at Oxford University. He worked in Interpretation Department and Information Department of FM. From 1995 to 1998, He served as first secretary at the Chinese embassy in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Liu was born in February in 1964, married and has a son.
