Chinese FM to visit South Korea

China's Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan will pay an official visit to South Korea from August 2 to 3, a ministry spokesman Kong Quan announced Tuesday.

Tang will be visiting South Korea at the invitation of Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Choi Sung-hong, Kong said.

The visit will come on the heels of Tang's visit to Brunei from July 30 to August 1 to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China, Japan and South Korea foreign ministers' meeting.

In Brunei, he will also attend the Ninth ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting, the Post Ministerial Conference with dialogue countries and the ASEAN and China Ministerial Conference.
