Intel has Lhasa kids computer crazy Intel has Lhasa kids computer crazy On top of the world at the Roof of the World. That was how 13-year-old Jia Cuo felt after his first experience with advanced technology on Saturday at a new Intel Computer Education Centre. And it wasn't just youngsters who were brimming with excitement but adults too. Jia's mother had never seen multi-media displays on computers before accompanying her son to the weekend training session. "Though I do not know much about this equipment, I think it's really interesting how colourful pictures can be drawn in so many ways. I hope Jia Cuo can learn more about this technology," she said. Children in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, can now register each weekend to receive training in computer technology at the centre free of charge. The Intel Little Doctor Computer Clubhouse, co-founded with Lhasa's Children's Activity Centre, was set up with funds contributed by Intel. It also received money donations from teachers and children at the other 13 computer clubhouses, set up nationwide by Intel and leading domestic PC manufacturers.
