The battle effectiveness of an antiaircraft artillery regiment of the Lanzhou Military Area Command was greatly increased through innovation, which solved some urgent problems such as incompatibility in hardware and software as well as lack of smooth transmission of information among various units.

By late June, their newly constructed aerial defense network system was assessed by the higher authority and was highly recommended. The assessment result was: The system could explore wider than other systems and it was speedy and accurate. The surface-to-air attacking ability was highly increased.

The limited scope in air intelligence exploration was the "bottleneck" for the aerial defense soldiers to get the target in time.

In order to solve the problem, the regiment finished the data interface reconstruction between various radars and information commanding systems, and established networks with various inspection warning units such as superior's distant air intelligence briefing, early warning radar, fire location radar, observation post, position　and command post, etc.

This united the separate air intelligence information into a flat network of information sharing system. In the past, the overlapping information transmission and the tardiness of information affected the reaction speed of the artillery. But with the help of the experts of the scientific research institutes, they developed a commanding assistant system.

It could provide commanders the most rapid and accurate information. Thus, the information transmission time was greatly reduced and the reaction speed of fire was multiply increased.
