Technological cadres "increase value" in flow ( 2003-07-22 17:20) (PLA Daily) In late June, a comprehensive
depot of the Beijing Military Area Command met technical problems in its
intranet operation, and called the sub-department for help.
The sub-logistics department immediately sent Wang Jinqiang, an engineer of a
POL depot to help, and the problems were solved soon. It was a new scene since
the personnel barrier had been broken and human resources shared within the
sub-logistics department.
In deepening the study and implementation of the important thought of the
"Three Represents", the Party committee of the sub-logistics department realized
that, only by breaking personnel barrier and sharing human resources, could the
talents be brought into full play. Thus, an archive for technological cadres has
been established in the sub-logistics department and technological cadres are
arranged to tackle key problems across units.
Meanwhile, the sub-department has promised that, whenever a unit under it
comes across a technical problem, they can ask the sub-logistics department for
help. And the personnel department will send people timely to solve the problem
according to the specific situation.
For example, when a depot met problems while developing an alarm system, the
sub-department dispatched Li Yimin, head of an automation station, who graduated
from Tsinghua University, to give some guidance. With his help, the product came
out soon and now has been widely used in the military area command.
