Blair: UK and China should develop allround cooperation ( 2003-07-23 10:18) (Xinhua) British Prime Minister Tony
Blair Tuesday said here the UK and China should not only develop economic and
politial relations, but also develop an allround cooperation, as well.
Blair, who began his state visit to China on July 20, made the remark at a
forum here attended by 150 leading Chinese entrepreneurs and senior
representatives of British companies in China.
Blair invited more Chinese enterprises to invest in the UK and suggested that
Britain's successful experience in cooperation between the public and private
sectors could be useful for China, especially in cities like Shanghai.
Before leaving for Shanghai on Tuesday morning, Blair attended the inaugural
ceremony of the clean energy research and education center at Tsinghua
University in Beijing.
