Man imprisoned for acting as online go-between for sexual intrigues

A Beijing man has been given a
six- year prison sentence and a fine of 5,000 yuan (US$600) for acting as an
online go-between for sexual intrigues, a court source said Wednesday.
In 2002, the divorced man, surnamed Zhang in 50s, inadvertently ran across
some porn websites. His loneliness soon made him indulge himself with visiting
the sites, where he spotted some prostitution advertisements.
He was found guilty of trying to make a profit by acting as a liaison to
connect prostitutes and clients by publishing the women 's phone numbers online.
Zhang confessed that he was only provided with free sexual service in return
for his finding customers for prostitutes.
