Jinan, the capital city of East China's Shandong province will focus on carrying out a better city planning to bring the "Spring City" a new spring day, a senior official said here today.

Xu Changyu, deputy-secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan, noted that the region has made great achievements in economic and social development in the past few year.

Agricultural and industrial output have seen marked increase. Local resident are benefiting from the rapid economic growth.

Xu noted that Jinan is making a city develop plan for the next 17 years and in 2020, Jinan will take a new look to face the whole world.

Technological and structural innovations, industrialization, city development, information industry, and deepening reform will be the focus of the region's future developent, said Xu.
