The central province of Henan attracted 950 million US dollars in contractual overseas investment in the first eight months this year, up 30.8 percent from same period last year, according to latest statistics.

The province approved 174 overseas-funded enterprises and used 369.34 million US dollars in direct investment during the period, up 26.8 percent year-on-year.

Of the new overseas-invested enterprises, 103 were in the manufacturing sector, which attracted 413.62 million US dollars in contractual foreign investment, or 43.54 percent of the total.
