Citizens in Shanghai have the opportunity to appreciate some ancient Egyptian treasures as 143 relics arrived here Tuesday evening, reports Shanghai Morning Post.

The treasures, from the Egyptian National Museum, weigh 14 tons in total and are valued at US$197 million.

The precious objects, many of which have never been shown outside Egypt, will be on display at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre.
