Allen Iverson entertained a large hometown crowd by scoring 20 points Monday night in the Philadelphia 76ers' 102-85 loss to the New Orleans Hornets.
Iverson also had six assists in 35 minutes at Old Dominion's Ted Constant Convocation Center. The game was played just miles from Iverson's hometown of Hampton.
He did not start, but drew the largest ovation when he entered the game at the beginning of the second quarter.
Baron Davis had 24 points and eight assists to lead the Hornets.
The fans cheered Iverson's first basket, a jumpshot with seven minutes left before halftime.
Derrick Coleman left the Sixers lineup with two minutes to go before the half with a cut to his mouth, which required two stitches. He did not return.
Teammate Aaron McKie bruised his back in the first quarter and also did not return.
