WEDDC and China Business Summit opens in Zhuhai ( 2003-11-07 08:56) The World Economic
Development Declaration Conference (WEDDC) and the China Business Summit opened
Thursday in Zhuhai, a coastal city in South China's Guangdong Province.
Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi delivered a key note speech calling for
worldwide mutual cooperation and common development. Cheng Siwei, vice-chairman
of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee and chairman of
the WEDDC organizing committee, hosted the opening ceremony.
During the two-day conference, 14 Chinese ministers, governmental officials
and business people from over 30 countries and regions, representatives from
international organizations, will discuss the global economic trend and
problems, and explore further cooperation on the basis of equality, credibility,
cooperation, development.
