China welcomes suggestions on reform and developing of finance ( 2003-11-07 21:44) (Xinhua) China welcomes suggestions on
the reform and development of its financial sectors from experts around the
world, Chinese Vice-Premier Huang Ju said Friday.
Huang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the
Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, made the remarks during a
meeting with a dozen members of the International Advisory Council of the China
Development Bank.
He said the financial sector will play an important role in China's ambitious
plan to build a relatively well-off society and China needs the suggestions of
international experts on the reform and development of the sector.
The vice-premier noted that the China Development Bank has made valuable
exploration in its system reform, in supporting economic growth and marketing
achievements, and will be an important force in supporting China's reform and
economic growth.
Raymond Barre, former prime minister of France, and some other advisors said
China's continuous and healthy economic development is very important to the
world economy.
