Shaq leads the way as Lakers crush Pacers

Shaquille O'Neal scored 23 points in just 22 minutes in his second game back from a calf injury to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to an easy 99-77 win over the Indiana Pacers in one of just two games on Sunday.

?O'Neal led five Lakers in double figures as Los Angeles won its 25th straight game at the Staples Center while improving to 10-0 at home this season.

The Lakers (14-3) have won nine of their last 10 games, most of them by lopsided scores, and beat the Pacers for the eighth straight time at home, including three games in the 2000 NBA Finals (news - web sites).

Indiana (14-3) had its eight-game winning streak snapped while losing for the first time in eight road games this season.

O'Neal went 8-for-13 from the floor despite being in foul trouble for most of the first half.

He added five rebounds but was just 7-for-12 from the free throw line.

Kobe Bryant had 12 points and seven assists for the Lakers, who led by nine at the half and by 17 after three quarters and were never threatened.

Derek Fisher added 12 points for Los Angeles, while Karl Malone had 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Al Harrington scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds for the Pacers, while Jermaine O'Neal added 14 points.

Kings 105 Nets 92

In Sacramento, Peja Stojakovic scored 25 points as the Kings easily downed the New Jersey Nets 105-92.

The Kings (12-4) rolled to a 32-point halftime lead as they won their 24th straight game against Eastern Conference opponents.

Sacramento is also 10-0 at home this season and has won eight in a row overall.

Brad Miller added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Kings, while Vlade Divac chipped in 15 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

Rodney Rogers had 23 points for the Nets (7-9), while Kenyon Martin added 18 and Jason Kidd had 13 points and 10 assists.
