Explosion rocks building of Iraq Shi'ite party ( 2003-12-19 15:02) (Agencies) A blast ripped through a
building belonging to Iraq's main Shi'ite Muslim political group early Friday,
killing at least one person and wounding two people, witnesses said.
A top official of SCIRI, which cooperates politically with Iraq's U.S.
occupiers, was assassinated in Baghdad Wednesday by what the group called
loyalists of ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
The witnesses said the explosions struck a residence at a compound of the
Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI).
A SCIRI official confirmed the explosion, but had no further details on the
incident.
