To save on tuition, a couple in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality sent their twins to school in turns, Chongqing Morning Post reported yesterday.

The two brothers, surnamed Xu and identical in appearance, were attending preschool classes at a local primary school.

To avoid "unnecessary"expenditure, their stingy parents arranged for one to attend on even-number days of the week and other on odd-number days.

The deception was not discovered for six months.
