Warrant issued in Williams sisters' case
( 2004-01-15 09:24) (Agencies)

An arrest warrant was issued for a man believed to have fired the shots that killed the half-sister of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams last year.

Lt. Dan Rosenberg said Wednesday that investigators believe Robert Edward Maxfield is "the shooter" of Yetunde Price.

A wanted poster identifying Robert Edward Maxfield, 23, was released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Price, 31, was shot Sept. 14, while sitting in a car in Compton. The mother of three was a registered nurse and beauty shop owner, as well as a personal assistant to her sisters.

Another man, Aaron Michael Hammer, 24, was arrested shortly after the killing and charged with murder. Hammer pleaded innocent and was ordered to stand trial.
