Henry goes on Real shoping list
( 2004-02-11 09:31) (sportinglife.com)

Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz has identified Arsenal striker Thierry Henry as his main priority as a summer transfer target.

Queiroz has also singled out Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy as a possible target.

Former United number two Queiroz, who moved to the Bernabeu in the summer, admitted Henry would be his preferred option.

He told Radio Marca: "If I had to give priorities, my preferences would be for (Ruud) van Nistelrooy and Henry.

"The Frenchman is at his best now, both in terms of his abilities and his capacity both to take chances and to give passes."

Van Nistelrooy has only recently signed a new deal with Manchester United, while only last week Henry repeated his loyalty to Arsenal.
