Jackie Chan's new film to make high-flying debut The exclusive show will be offered to passengers of United Airline flight 001 and is sponsored by New Line Cinema, the airline and the Hong Kong Tourism Board. United Airlines said the film, a sequel to the 1998 blockbuster, would be the first feature to have an in-flight debut in almost 40 years. The film will be released in the United States on August 3 and in Hong Kong on August 16. In the film, Chan and co-star Chris Tucker return as the same detectives they played in the first production, which grossed US$250 million in box offices worldwide. This time, Tucker travels from Los Angeles to Hong Kong to crack a conspiracy involving a dangerous bomber. Hollywood's newest darling, Zhang Ziyi of martial arts epic "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," plays the gangster's henchwoman. The Boeing 747 on which the film will premiere has been temporarily renamed "Rush Hour Express" and was specially repainted to mark the occasion.
