Governor Gray Davis warned Thursday that "credible threats" had been made against landmark bridges in California, including the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges in San Francisco, and the Coronado Bridge in San Diego.
Davis spokesman Steve Maviglio said in Los Angeles the threats were "specific and believable."
The spokesman said no plans were afoot to close the bridges.
