Food poisoning hits restaurant in north China

Over 80 people have been sickened after having dinner at a restaurant in Wuhai City in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the past week.

About 40 people are still in hospital and the restaurant has been closed.

Li Baofang, a retired worker, held a wedding ceremony for her son on Wednesday. Over 70 people participated in the wedding ceremony. They felt sick the next day after having dinner at the restaurant, Lan Meng Fei Teng Yu Jia.

Before the accident, over ten people were sickened after having dinners Monday at the restaurant and came to the municipal people's hospital for help Tuesday, said Wang Fenming, a doctor with Wuhai Municipal People's Hospital.

Doctors find some kind of toxin in the patients' blood and urine.

Further investigation is still underway
