Olympic flame arrives in Paris

The Olympic torch reached the Eiffel Tower in Paris on June 25 in the hands of French fencer Laura Flessel.

Flessel, who received the torch by Stephane Diagana, lit a flame a few dozen meters from the tower to finish a 50-kilometer trip across the French capital.

Paris mayor Bertrand Delanoe, the president of the Paris regionJean-Paul Huchon, and the Greek European affairs minister Yannis Valinakis were in president at the occasion.
