Liu Xiang wins in Zagreb Grand Prix

Top Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang has taken the 110m hurdles title in 13.25 seconds at the IAAF Grand Prix in Zagreb, Croatia.


Liu Xiang, the world bronze medallist, claimed the victory ahead of Stanislav Olijars of Latvia on Tuesday.

This is the second title that he has won this week, following his victory at the IAAF Grand Prix in France on Sunday.

Another Chinese hurdler Shi Dongpeng came in 5th.

At the same meet, China's Zhang Wenxiu placed second in the women's hammer throw, notching up a distance of 71.80 meters.

Liu Xiang and his team-mates will next compete in Italy, the last leg of their European warm-up tour for the Athens Olympics.
