The State Development and Reform Commission (SDRC) will put forward new policies and measures to stimulate the development of China's modern logistics, said a senior official of the SDRC in Beijing Thursday.

Ma Liqiang, deputy secretary general, made this remark during the three-day China International Service Industries Convention and Expo.

Ma, who is also director of the commission's Economic Operation Bureau, said at present there are still many policy problems in the field of logistics, such as, the procurers of examination and approval are too complicated, local departments charge illegal fees and fines to vehicles, basic constructions and service system are still lagged behind.

SDRC will take a series of measures to solve these problems, Ma said.
