China win four-nation women's basketball tourney

China have outpointed Australia 79-60 to win the title of the four-nation women's basketball tournament on three straight victories, aiming for the bronze medal in the Olympic Games.

The Chinese team, aiming for the bronze medal in the Olympic Games next month, previously defeated the Czech Republic 75-74 on Friday and Serbia and Montenegro 60-57 on Saturday to become the only undefeated team at the three-day tourney.

The Czech Republic beat Serbia and Montenegro 57-52 on Sunday for a second-place.

Australia had to be content with the third place, followed by Serbia and Montenegro who lost all three games.

The four teams will continue their games in Nanhai, Guangdong Province from July 7 to 9.
