Chinese President Hu Jintao meets U.S.
National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice (L) in Beijing's Great
Hall of the People July 9, 2004. Rice met Chinese President Hu Jintao on
Friday after a day of talks with other Chinese leaders. Rice arrived
in Beijing from Tokyo on Thursday and was scheduled to head to Seoul at
about midday on Friday on the last leg of a short visit to Asia.
