China's Ministry of Public Security publicized Friday two phone numbers (010-65283344, 65207655) and a website (www.cyberpolice.cn) for people to inform authorities of erotic websites.

This action is part of a new nationwide campaign to crack down the rampant porn websites.

Some local departments will create similar hotlines and websites, the ministry said.

A national meeting to launch the battle against erotic websites was held Friday. Authorities called for swift and effective action across the country in order to sweep out on-line pornographic rubbish.
