Visiting King Abdullah II Bin Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan left Beijing Saturday afternoon for Chongqing in southwest China, where he will watch an Asian Cup football match involving Jordan's national team.

As a guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Abdullah II started his state visit to China on July 26. During his stay in Beijing, he held talks with Hu and met with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

The king reiterated that Jordan will continue to support the one-China policy and China's reunification cause in the talks with Hu.

After the talks, the two state leaders witnessed the signing of two official documents on economic and technical cooperation between the governments of the two countries.

The king also visited Hong Kong from July 27 to 29.

Abdullah II ascended the throne on Feb. 7, 1999. This is his sixth visit to China.
