Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica, the world's fourth largest aircraft maker, will boost sales from its factory in China as the government cuts the cost of internal flights.

Empresa estimates Chinese airlines will buy 250 jets over the next decade to serve routes within the country.

The Brazilian aircraft maker expects the plant to deliver six 50-seat Embraer planes this year.

It opened its US$50-million plant in Harbin, the capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, in February.
