US apologizes to Chinese abuse victim
After the federal grand jury indicted the homeland security officer Robert Rhodes of beating a Chinese tourist, a U.S. law-officer assistant has apologized to the victim, Zhao Yan.
The law-officer assistant, Martin Redfield, made the apology on behalf of the U.S. government and showed regret to the ordeals the woman has encountered in the country. Redfield said Zhao Yan has been approved to enter the country at any time in order to help with the investigation. Zhao Yan accepted the apology and wished the inquisition to be completed justly as soon as possible. |
