China ties New Zealand at hockey Champion Trophy

China and New Zealand have drew 1-1 in a Champions Trophy hockey tournament match in Rosario, Argentina.

Qiuqi Chen scored for China in the 10th minute and New Zealand equalised through Tara Drysdale in the 27th when she tucked the ball away after a penalty corner was blocked.

China, ranked fourth in the world, had four penalty corners to seventh-ranked New Zealand's three.

China lost 0-2 to Netherlands at the opening game of the Women's Champions Trophy.

China will next play Athens Olympic Champions Germany in Rosario on Wednesday.
