Beckham set for return

David Beckham's representatives have denied reports that the England captain is out of next week's friendly against Spain.

Stories in Spain suggested Beckham hag given up hope of recovering in time from his rib injury for the match at the Bernabeu, and is instead aiming to be fit for the game against Barcelona in 11 days' time.

A spokesman for Beckham told PA International: 'This is not the case. David is hoping to play at the weekend against Albacete with a view to being fit for England next Wednesday.'
