China Post has sent more than 200 million pieces of express mail abroad this year through its Express Mail Service (EMS), said China Post Friday.

The business volume of EMS rose 20 percent this year and the annual amount of mail sent abroad also hit record high, said China Post.

This shows EMS has become more and more competitive in the express mail market, it said.

China Post launched a series of high-quality services for EMS at the beginning of this year. Moreover, it increased investment in the business and realized "all night flight" delivery in 136 cities of 27 domestic provinces as the first express mail service in the country.

EMS has become China's most powerful express delivery network, said China Post.
