stations, supermarkets, factories and offices in memory of the tens of

prayer for tsunami victims on the Thai resort island of Phuket January 5,
2005. Buddhists, Muslims and Christians joined together on Wednesday to
light 10,000 candle lanterns in a memorial to the thousands who died in
Thailand in the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. More than 1,000
saffron-robed Buddhist monks chanted prayers for the dead after Christian
and Muslim leaders paid their own respects in a sunset ceremony at a
soccer stadium in the southern Thai resort town of Phuket.
