'Sex and City' siren would consider film version
"Sex and the City" siren Kim Cattrall would consider doing a movie of the hit comedy series, but only if the script is good enough and she is paid handsomely for her efforts.
In London playing a sculptor left paralyzed after an accident in "Whose Life Is It Anyway?," the global sex symbol has no desire to cut short her stage run.
Hollywood trade newspapers have reported that Cattrall wanted the same fee as co-star Sarah Jessica Parker to appear in a feature film version of "Sex and the City," a project that has now been put on ice.
Cattrall would not be drawn on specifics, but said:
"I would still consider it (the film), yes.
"I mean everyone's scheduling would have to be put into consideration, and of course a wonderful script, and of course I think we should all be very well paid for it. We all worked very hard for six years, all of us."
English-born Cattrall said that there was more in common between her new character and Samantha Jones from "Sex and the City" than met the eye.
"I think there are very strong traits in both of these characters -- very strong, very courageous, funny, and sexy. Claire is sexy even though she can't move. Sex starts in the brain, it doesn't start anywhere else."
And despite the physical restrictions of her stage part, Cattrall said she was exhausted by the end of each show.
"I'm too tired to dance."
