[Reuters] | Arsenal have been fined 10,000 pounds and handed a suspended transfer ban for
dealing with an unlicensed agent, the Football Association (FA) says.
The FA said on Monday the ban, for using an agent without a FIFA licence in
negotiating the contract of Dutch teenage striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie, has been
suspended for a period of two years starting on February 1.
If Arsenal are again found in breach of FIFA regulations governing the use of
players' agents in the next two years the ban on all transfers will be activated
for the duration of the next transfer window, it said on the official FA
website.
