Scans have revealed Everton midfielder Li Tie has not re-fractured the leg he broke last year.

Chinese international Li Tie, pictured playing against Brazil, says he is fighting fit and ready to reclaim a first-team place with English high flyers Everton after recovering from a leg injury.[AFP]

The China international was carried off just 40 minutes into a comeback match for the reserves against Bolton on Tuesday following a collision with Ricky Shakes.

Head physio Mick Rathbone told the club's official website: "The consultant has looked at the x-rays and compared them with the older x-rays from last year.

"He has also assessed the leg and he is happy that there is no re-fracture, so we are all breathing a sigh of relief but Tie took a very nasty bang and has re-bruised the area."
