Siemens will not continue to sponsor the Chinese Super League following a troubled maiden season.

German electronics giant Siemens will not continue to sponsor the Chinese Super League following a troubled maiden season.

According to the report from the Titan Sports, Simens decided to pull out of its major sponsorship of the league in the coming season.

However, the company said that it would extend its cooperation with the national football team.

Simens only paid the contractual minimum of some 4.0 million euro as the Chinese Super League suffered a bumpy debut with several match boycotts and drug scandals.
