Joint celebration of Lantern Festival
A sculpture of legendary Chen Wenlong is escorted to a ship for a visit to the island of Mazu, Taiwan, from Mawei port, Fuzhou, east China's Fujian province February 22, 2005. The trip is part of the joint celebration of the traditional Lantern Festival between residents in Mawei and Mazu. Chen Wenlong was a senior official of the South Song Dynasty (1172-1279), who led a fight against invading Mongolian troops. He was later regarded as a sea god by the people in Fujian and Taiwan.
