Presently, nothing is more important for Yang Yang to stand once again in the ice rink of an Olympic Games.

Yang returned last July from the United States after the short-track speed skate ace hung up her skates and spent a year at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

As the Olympics is calling, Yang Yang says she has to dot it before she is too old.

The Chinese veteran says she can resume study after the Games. All the other things can be done in 10 years but the Games is now

After breaking the gold medal jinx at Winter Olympics for China in 2002, Yang decided to pursue a two-year study in the United States in 2003 but returned earlier than expected due to the Turin Olympic Games next year.

She claimed the 500m and 1,500m titles at the World Cup in November last year and is ranked third in the world cup overall rankings for 2004-2005 season.

Yang dominated the World Championships for six years running from 1997 to 2000, reaching 22 of 24 possible finals and winning 15 of them.
