TV show says no to Britney Once upon a time, not so long ago, there was no such thing as Desperate Housewives.
When something is that popular, people always want to get in on the action... Friends showed the way for Hollywood cameos, with Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis, Reese Witherspoon and Charlie Sheen being just some of the A-listers who had a bit-part in the hit series. But those behind Desperate Housewives are clearly not that desperate, after turning down Britney Spears' advances. The young singer/actress is reportedly keen to feature on the show, according to Female First. But apparently the show's bosses are of the opinion that guest appearances would ruin the show's appeal and take away the spotlight from the main characters. James Denton, who plays tasty plumber Mike Delfino in the series, revealed that a galaxy of stars have put their name forward for a part. "Everyone in town wants to be a guest star," he said. "Britney is my favourite. Her people have been trying to get her on the show but I can promise you that will never happen."
