The Chinese president also noted that China and India enjoy broad prospect of cooperation in areas of economy, science and technology, culture and education as the two countries boast their own advantages in such areas and are highly complementary. The consensus reached on political guiding principles for resolving the boundary issue has laid a sound basis for pushing forward the settlement of boundary issue between China and India, the Chinese president added. For his part, Singh said China is a great neighbor of India and the Indian government attaches great importance to developing its relations with China. India and China are partners seeking common development instead of rivals, the Indian prime minister noted.
