Lampard gets fans' vote

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has been named Professional Footballers' Association Fans' Player of the Year for 2005.

The 26-year-old, who starred for his side in Wednesday's goalless draw against Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final first leg, received the award after on-line voting by fans.

Preston midfielder Paul McKenna scooped the Coca-Cola Championship award, while Keith Southern of Blackpool and Southend's Adam Barrett were voted the top players in League One and Two respectively.
