World number one Wang Liqin eased into the men's singles final at the Shanghai world table tennis championships after beating Oh Sang Eun from South Korea 4-1 on Friday.

Oh was too nervous to find his game, losing 11-7, 12-10, 11-2, 11-9, 11-6.

Wang, a Shanghai native, who stopped at the Olympic semifinals last August in Athens as he was beaten by teammate Wang Hao, took an upper hand after winning the first three sets without difficulty.

Wang, however, trailed 5-1 with consecutive errors at the beginning of the fourth set.

He narrowed the deficit to 4-5, 8-9, but Oh, who held two sets points in 10-8 after his coach Kim Taek Soo called timeout, capitalized on Wang's errors to take the set.

The 26-year-old Wang recovered quickly and came back from 1-3 to lead 10-5, and wrapped up the game with a spectacular rally.
