The win keeps Barcelona six points ahead of second-place Real Madrid with just three games remaining. Real Madrid kept the race interesting on Saturday as Ronaldo and Raul each scored twice in a 5-0 victory over Racing Santander.

However, Barcelona has now posted four straight impressive victories since its loss to Real Madrid, proving it has the right mental makeup to become a champion

Ronaldinho opened up the scoring in the 28th minute on a hard shot from outside the box that found a home in the top corner.

The just two minutes later, Eto'o directed the ball past Valencia goalkeeper Andres Palop from close range.

The match hindered Valencia's hopes for a spot in Europe next season. Valencia dropped to seventh in the league table with 53 points.

Capping off Sunday's La Liga action: Santi Cazorla scored for the second straight week to lead Villarreal over Malaga, 2-0; Albacete defeated Levante, 3-1; Numancia was blanked at Espanyol, 3-0; Michel netted a pair of goals to lift Getafe over Real Sociedad, 2-0; Deportivo edged past Atletico Madrid, 2-0.
