Olympic champion Liu Xiang is losing the desire to compete at home due to a lack of top athletes.

The 22-year-old athlete is searching for high-caliber rivals at home.

During an online chat with fans, the Athens Olympics 110 meter hurdles winner said he can not find any challenges in China or Asia.

He believes only high-level competitions can fully bring out his strength.

His coach Sun Haiping added that American veteran Allen Johnson and Frenchman Ladji Doucoure remain Liu Xiang's main rivals.
