services and cultural activities. They will be recruited mostly from Beijing
universities but also from other Chinese cities hosting events, as well as
residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, organizers said.
"It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience," International Olympic Committee
president Jacques Rogge said. "They have one ideal: to promote the Olympic
values and to prepare the best conditions for the athletes of the world to
compete in a fair and peaceful competition."
