The country's soccer watchdog reached an agreement on the matter with Super League clubs at a league committee conference on Tuesday.

According to the rule, the bottm two teams will be relegated to the inferior league and the vacancies will be taken by the champion and the runner-up from the second division.

The relegation system was cancelled in Chinese soccer's top division last year, after Beijing Hyundai's walk-off strike triggered a crisis in the league in October.

Conference participants also agree to cancel the Super League Cup tournament in next season.

The decisions are waiting on the green lights from the General Administration of Sport.
